Looking Glass Animal Rescue Launches 'Holiday Giving Series' to Raise $15,000 Toward 2019 Operating Budget
Looking Glass Animal Rescue has launched their 1st annual “Holiday Giving Series”, ending on January 1st, 2019, in an effort to increase financial resources so that they can continue their mission: saving the sick, injured, neglected and abandoned.
The nonprofit animal welfare organization, virtually based in Ridgefield, CT, takes on some of the most difficult cases, often costing the rescue thousands of dollars. Since their founding in December 2015, Looking Glass Animal Rescue has saved more than 500 animals in desperate need of medical care, providing them a loving home to convalesce and ultimately placed with a forever family where they will only know love and care forevermore.
This year, Looking Glass Animal Rescue was honored to not only be listed as a Top-Rated nonprofit by GreatNonprofits.org, but to also be listed on the GreatNonprofits #GivingTuesday guide.
“We are excited to be listed on the GreatNonprofits #GivingTuesday Giving Guide for our ratings within the 2018 campaign year,” says Jody Harris-Stern, Co-Founder of Looking Glass Animal Rescue. “But we’re even prouder to be part of the #GivingDay Movement, because our organization in particular is focused on animals that are often overlooked due to age, breed, special need or an illness or injury requiring immediate, often costly medical attention that shelters are unable to provide. Without a rescue outlet, these animals would otherwise be euthanized due to their issues.”
