Ridgefield's Congregation Shir Shalom Religious Ed Students Offer Holiday Gift Wrapping To Help California Wildfire Victims

The Union for Reform Judaism, the largest Jewish movement in North America, is in contact with Reform congregations communities impacted by the recent California wildfires and they are ready to provide whatever support they can.

Locally, answering the call for help are grade 7 students and teachers from Congregation Shir Shalom in Ridgefield. "They are running a free holiday gift wrap program this weekend on Sunday, December 2 for congregants and guests," explains Leslie Gottlieb, Director of Education.

Donations will be sent to the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region which has pledged that 100% of funds raised will be allocated to victims of the Camp Fire.

Interested in making a donation? Checks should be payable to "Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region" with "Camp Fire Fund" in the memo line.  Checks can be mailed to Congregation Shir Shalom, 46 Peaceable Street in Ridgefield (or dropped off, attention:  Leslie Gottlieb).

Please note: the Federation is also seeking Target gift cards.

Please contact Congregation Shir Shalom via email info@ourshirshalom.org or by phone (203)-438-6589 for additional information.

Congregation Shir Shalom is located at 46 Peaceable Street. Visit them online here.
