Richard Danzig played poker for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of his son Matthew Danzig and won the grand prize
The Second Annual Ridgefield Charity Poker Tournament hosted by the Ridgefield Library on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Le Chateau in South Salem, New York was another successful fundraiser for charities.
In addition to the Poker Tournament, there were a couple of other opportunities for players to win money for the charities for which they were playing, including a Spin for Charity Spinning Wheel Game and Raffle where the winning charity took all. All proceeds after the event expenses went to charities. Click here to view photos from the evening.
Congratulations to the evening's tournament winner Richard Danzig who was playing for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of his son Matthew Danzig. Mr. Danzig won $3,000 for his charity. Other cash prizes went to the Liam O’Keefe who won the raffle for the RVNA, and Gene Brandon playing for Appalachia Service Project and Steve DeMatteo playing for the Ridgefield Library who won the Spin for Charity Spinning Wheel Game.
Players and spectators representing these 33 charities participated in the event: Ability Beyond, ACT of CT, American Red Cross, Ann's Place, Appalachia Service Project, The Carver Center, Congregation Shir Shalom - Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, Full Court Peace, Habitat for Humanity, Looking Glass Animal Rescue, Lounsbury House, Ms President US, North Salem Lions Club, Our Farm Equine Rescue, Prospector Theater, Ridgefield A Better Chance, Ridgefield Academy, Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club, Ridgefield Food Pantry, Ridgefield Library, Ridgefield Little League, Ridgefield Meals on Wheels, Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield Rotary Club, Ridgefield Theater Barn, RVNA, Saint Joseph Parenting Center, Special Olympics, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Woodcock Nature Center, YMCA Camp Jewell, Young Life.
