Birthday Bag Donations Welcome, Thanks to Young Ridgefield Philanthropist

Compassionate Ridgefield in ACTION!

What started out as a service project at East Ridge Middle School, has morphed into a beautiful community initiative which will result in a Girl's Scout Silver Award for one young Ridgefield philanthropist.

Devon, a rising freshman at Ridgefield High School and Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield member, is collecting Birthday Bags which will be given to locals in need of celebratory items - because "Everyone deserves something on their birthday," says Devon.

Look for the box you see here at inside the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield now through mid-August and consider making a donation. Please note: during Club Camp, there will be counselors and Club employees outside and they can take your donation. 

Suggested Birthday Bag items include plates, balloons, streamers, cake mix, a card, decorative gift bag - basically, anything anyone would want to throw a fun birthday party. 

Once school starts, Devon has permission to leave the donation box at East Ridge Middle School.
