Hundreds of animal shelters across the country including Ridgefield's own ROAR are teaming up with NBC Owned Television Stations and Telemundo for the 5th Annual Clear the Shelters adoption event this Saturday, August 17 from 10 am to 3pm.
ROAR posted on their Facebook Page, "ROAR is all in to find forever homes for all our dogs, cats, puppies & kittens! NBC Channel 4 News came to visit us this week, met our staff, one of our Pets for Vets - ROAR CT Chapter matches and some of our available pets!"
During this nationwide event, animal shelters and rescue organizations will open their doors, and, in many cases eliminate and/or reduce adoption fees in an effort to find loving homes to animals in need.
