Ridgefield Rotary Supports A Better Chance in Ridgefield

Ridgefield Rotary Club member, Ralph Passarelli, presented two of the RABC scholars and the RABC Co-President, Jessica Auerbach, with a generous donation to the Ridgefield A Better Chance, Inc. program.  Two young women from Brooklyn and Bridgeport arrived last week as the two new freshmen, joining the other scholars in the program and at Ridgefield High School.

Ridgefield A Better Chance is a non-profit organization whose mission is to find talented and motivated minority female high school students from disadvantaged communities and provide them with an outstanding education and offer them a "better chance". Founded in 1987, RABC has been a home-away-from home to eight outstanding female scholars. To date, 54 scholars have graduated from Ridgefield High School, all of whom have earned or are working on undergraduate and graduate degrees. During their four years in Ridgefield, the scholars participate fully in the academic and extra-curricular activities at RHS as well as give back to the community through volunteer service.
