Locals Took to Streets of Downtown Ridgefield to Try to Outrun Police, Friendly 5K Benefited Women's Center

Yesterday, Sunday, November 3, local residents took to the streets of Ridgefield to see if they could outrun members of the Ridgefield Police Department!

Hosted by the Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association, Cops & Robbers 5K benefited The Women's Center of Greater Danbury. The runners got a 3-minute head start, then officers from the Ridgefield Police Department got their turn to try and pass as many runners as they can.

For every runner "caught" (passed) by each officer, the RPBA donated $1 to the Women's Center.

"We would like to express huge thanks to the Ridgefield CT Police Department Benevolent Association and all of the officers who organized and participated in the Cops & Robbers 5K yesterday to benefit the Women's Center!" The Women's Center wrote on their Facebook Page.

Did you know the Women's Center of Greater Danbury serves 13 towns including Ridgefield, and that all of their programming is FREE? What a tremendous asset to have in our own backyard.
