Ridgefield Sisters Overwhelmed by Community Support, Summer Activity Bags Delivered to Danbury Women's Shelter

Last month we posted about Ridgefield resident Devon Noonan, a rising sophomore at RHS and her sister Mackenzie who will be a senior at RHS responding to the COVID crisis and its impact on local children by creating Summer Activity Bags for kids and teens at the Danbury Women's Shelter.

Devon told us, "Due to COVID 19, many kids are struggling during this time especially when they don’t have a place like camp or funds to buy activities for the summer. If you are able to donate, it would mean a lot and make many children happy during this hard time!"

Ridgefield responded in a big way! Mackenzie announced on Facebook, "Devon and I were overwhelmed with the number of donations we received - we even had enough for extra! We were able to drop the bags at the shelter yesterday, and they will be heading off to kids soon!"

Thank you to Devon, Mackenzie and the many community members who supported their mission to help local children in need!
