Members of Ridgefield Congregational Church hosted a clothing drive early in 2020 but they could not deliver the clothes to Pivot Ministries in Bridgeport until COVID restrictions were lifted.
Finally, on Wednesday morning of last week, the delivery arrived at Pivot: a bounty of navy, blue blazers, khaki pants, white shirts, and a plethora of ties. Even warm winter fleeces, sweaters and colorful button-downs.
These kinds of fun activities are vitally important to the ministry at a time where outings are limited due to COVID. Pivot Ministries has had to rely on Zoom and social media to interact with partner churches and the community.
Pivot is a Christian men's 9-month residential alcohol and drug addiction recovery program in inner-city Bridgeport. Pivot relies solely on donations from individuals, corporations and individuals. Pivot has been serving the community for 50 years.
