The Exchange Club of Ridgefield (XCR) raised $1360 for Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield (MOW). This money will be primarily used for a MOW New Years' Eve dinner for MOW's clients to mark and brighten that holiday and to get the new year off to a positive start.
The XCR is the Ridgefield chapter of the National Exchange Club - one of the oldest community service organizations in the US with a special focus on Prevention of Child Abuse and community aid. MOW of Ridgefield was founded to care for people in our community who are unable to prepare their own meals due to illness, injury, age and/or other disabilities.
The presentation was done on Friday, December 18 with great care taken to abide by Covid-19 Prevention guidelines.
In the photo's center, Susie Singer, an XCR member and the project leader for this effort, hands the checks collected to MOW Board Chair Dean Miller as Nick Percival, XCR President, and Dyane MacDaniel, MOW President Emeritus and XCR member look on from the side in support.
