Ridgefield High School Interact Club Partners with Playhouse and Collects Over 4,000 Toiletry Items for Jericho Partnership

The Ridgefield High School Interact Club, the youth arm of the Rotary Club, recently conducted a  toiletry drive called City Drop Off Project and collected over 4,000 items that were donated to Danbury-based nonprofit, Jericho Partnership.

Before the holiday season, District Representative and President of RHS Interact Club, Abby Sutcliffe reached out to Ridgefield Playhouse Executive Director Allison Stockel to see if she would be willing to house a collection box outside of The Playhouse. Stockel didn’t hesitate and was eager to support the mission! In fact, Stockel is a longtime Jericho Partnership volunteer!

Today, Sutcliffe wrote a note to Stockel expressing her thanks and reporting the event’s great success. “I wanted to say a big thank you for your help with allowing us to put a collection box at the Playhouse. We were able to collect 4,284 items in total!” she said.

Throughout the year, Sutcliffe says that RHS Interact Club conducts events with Interact Club board members from across the state, supporting a plethora of different causes. “Due to COVID-19 we’ve had to change our traditional in-person events, however, we still want to make a difference within our communities,” she said.
