“Old News Is Good News” is the theme for the Ridgefield Historical Society’s dinner-and-a-movie fundraising event, the first in the organization’s 20-year history, which will take place Sunday, May 30.
Because of Covid constraints, the event will feature an at-home screening of News of the World, starring Tom Hanks, and a take-home dinner, prepared by Sarah Bouïssou.
The movie will be available to patrons to watch at their leisure (over a three-day window). There will be an introductory program featuring some “news of the world” as reported in early editions of The Ridgefield Press.
