Rotary Club awards grant to Ridgefield Historical Society

Ridgefield Rotary Club president Joseph P. Cleary presents a check for $2000 to the Ridgefield Historical Society, represented by RHS development and marketing director Kathryn Tufano and Society president Tracy Seem, with Kip Schibli, a Rotarian and also a Ridgefield Historical Society board member.

Ridgefield Rotary Club president Joseph P. Cleary recently visited the Ridgefield Historical Society’s Scott House headquarters to award a $2000 grant to the Society. He also toured the building, accompanied by Rotarian Kip Schibli, a Historical Society board member, Historical Society president Tracy Seem and development and marketing director Kathryn Tufano.

The Scott House is one of the original Founders’ homes; it was saved from demolition and reconstructed on Sunset Lane in 2001.

“We are grateful to the Rotary Club for its support of our programming,” said Ms. Seem. “This donation will allow us to continue developing a new schedule of in-person events, in addition to enhancing our virtual offerings, as Ridgefield emerges from COVID. Many thanks for thinking of us when so many other organizations are in need.”
