A stunning musical performance by eight SPHERE members was the highlight of the nonprofit’s Reach for the Stars Gala which took place at the Amber Room Colonnade.
Daniel C. Levine, ACT of CT’s Artistic Director and Bryan Perri, Resident Music Supervisor, worked with SPHERE members Juliette Barberie, Amanda Grose, EJ Greczylo, Alex O'Dell, Zach Sorena, Jocelyn Steele, Dillon Tepfer, and Chris Walsh to choreograph a magical musical performance.
“SPHERE’s collaboration with ACT of CT was truly beautiful and we are grateful to Daniel and Bryan who volunteered their time and incredible talents to work with our members,” said Lori Berisford.
SPHERE’s Reach for the Stars Gala honored longtime SPHERE President and Board Chair Lori Berisford with the 2021 Commitment to Service Award for her unwavering support of the organization. Board Member Jill Edelman Barberie commented “Honoring Lori and sharing in a celebration of SPHERE and our wonderful community partners, was so uplifting and meaningful to all of us. You could just feel it in the air.”
The memorable evening of fundraising began with cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. This event was attended by more than 300 guests who bid on an array of items generously donated by local merchants. Guests also had an opportunity to purchase a key, taking a chance it would open a treasure chest valued at $1,000.
The Amber Room Colonnade was artfully decorated by an amazing gala committee and served as the backdrop for dinner, a musical performance by SPHERE members, the Commitment to Service Award Presentation to Lori by Rebecca Ciota; John, Lane and Liza Berisford, and a live auction conducted with spirit and energy by Ridgefield Playhouse Executive Director, Allison Stockel.
Thanks to the one and only, Big Daddy, Sean McKee, the party continued on the dance floor!
