850 Wood Fired Restaurant Holds Coat Drive for Homeless in NYC

850 Degrees Wood Fired Restaurant is holding a Coat Drive for the homeless in New York City now through February 9.

You are encouraged to drop off used or new clean warm gear (hats, gloves, scarves, socks, blankets, coats) that will be donated to the Bowery Mission in NYC.

A donation box is located near 850’s take-out door.

Betsy Debany who is spearheading the donation drive says, “The items going to be given to homeless people in the lower east side of  Manhattan.” 

The Debany family planning a trip to Manhatten and will deliver the items to the homeless population.

“We can’t solve the problems of why they are on the street but we can hand them something to make them a little warmer,” says Betsy.
