Scotland Elementary Students Encourage Community to Attend Blood Drive at Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield on May 19

The Nation’s blood bank supply is alarmingly low due to low rates of donations during the pandemic. Yet, one in three people will need a
transfusion in their lifetime. That’s why Scotland Elementary is so eager to get the news out about its forthcoming Blood Drive at the
Boys and Girls Club of Ridgefield on Thursday, May 19 from 4:00-8:30 p.m.

This is the eighth year that SES has participated in the Little DoctorsTM program, sponsored by the New York Blood Drive. The program educates students about the importance of donating blood and how to approach their friends, family, and neighbors.

Two former SES students Lauren C. and Kiera H. (now eighth-graders at Scotts Ridge Middle School) worked with SRMS eighth-grader Charlotte O. to make this promotional video for the May 19 Drive, which talks about who can donate, what to expect, and more.

Please consider joining RPS in this life-saving effort. No registration required.
