Ridgefield Police Carry Flame of Hope on Friday, Torch Run Supports Special Olympics Connecticut!

This Friday, June 3rd at 9:30 am, the Ridgefield Police will be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics of Connecticut.
 
Ridgefield officers will be joined by Wilton Police, Redding Police, Bridgeport Department of Corrections and some Special Olympians.
 
After carrying the torch through 2.3 miles of Ridgefield, we will finish the remaining 1.8 miles in Wilton.

The run will start in the Dimitris parking lot, right onto Prospect Street, right onto East Ridge Road, through the East Ridge Middle School parking lot, left onto Market Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Governor Street, and through the Veterans Park School parking lot, right onto Main Street, left onto Catoonah Street, right onto High Ridge Avenue, continue onto Gilbert Street, right onto Main Street, left onto Prospect Street, ending back in Dimitris parking lot.

The Torch Run will cover over 500 miles and pass through more than 100 cities and towns. Over 1,500 Law Enforcement officers and Special Olympics Athletes will participate in this year’s Torch Run. Officers represent local, state, and federal departments, agencies and correctional facilities.
