Support Ridgefield Nonprofits on GivingTuesday!

Thanksgiving - check. Black Friday - check. Cyber Monday - (almost) check. Tomorrow, November 28 is GivingTuesday,  a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Consider giving LOCAL. There are so many worthy nonprofits right here in Ridgefield that are changing the world for the better - on a daily basis! These nonprofits are helping residents with disabilities, bringing art, music, dance, theater and even Broadway to our community (and beyond), providing services and programs to senior citizens and children, rescuing pets, and keeping us healthy. Let's help them continue to fulfill their important missions!

GivingTuesday recently received a $10 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help further unleash the power of radical generosity across the globe. The gift represents the single largest grant GivingTuesday has received since the movement began in 2012.

Making GivingTuesday even more special this year, Facebook will once again match $8M donations made on Facebook on GivingTuesday. Matches are made on a first-come, first-served basis and will continue until the $8M USD fund has been met. Learn more about how Facebook’s GivingTuesday donation works here.
