Ridgefield Rocks for Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy on Nov. 25 at Sugar Hollow Taproom

“RIDGEFIELD ROCKS” returns with a performance of “Watkins Glen ’73 – 50 Years Later” in support of Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy on Saturday, Nov 25th at Sugar Hollow Taproom.

Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) organization founded by Chris and Jess Curran of Ridgefield after their son Conner was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Their mission is to provide charitable giving to support Muscular Dystrophy research as well as benevolent assistance and advocacy to those in need.

In support of KOMD, Ridgefield Rocks is proud to present a tribute to the Watkins Glen Jam, a July 1973 rock festival outside Watkins Glen, New York, that featured the Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead and the Band.

Ridgefield's own MOJO band will open the show with the Grateful Dead '73 setlist. FASTER THINGS (ABB Tribute band) will close the night with the Allmans Bros '73 setlist. Both bands will play a short selection of music from the Band.

“We are thrilled to have KOMD selected for this amazing charity event! Jessica and I can't wait to attend! We really appreciate all the efforts on behalf of Conner and thousands of kids like him!” says Chris Curran of KOMD.

“We are grateful for the donations by many Ridgefield businesses including Sugar Hollow Taproom, Ridgefield Hardware, Venice Pizza and many others,” says JD Seem of Ridgefield Rocks.

Ridgefield Rocks mission is to bring local music, local businesses and local charities together for the benefit of the community. This event is the third production following successful events in support of Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club (November 2002) and The Prospector Theater (April 2023) which raised thousands of dollars.

There will be complimentary food and surprise raffle prizes.

Tickets are $15 advance/$20 at the door. Click here to get your tickets.
