RVNAhealth and Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield Receive Grant Funding from the John H. and Ethel G. Noble Charitable Trust, Administered by the Deutsche Bank Trust Company, N.A., to Support Nursing Visits and Meals to the Elderly

A partnership grant was recently given to two area non-profit organizations, working together to keep elderly residents healthy and thriving. RVNAhealth and Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield (MOW) received a $45,000.00 grant from the John H. and Ethel G. Noble Charitable Trust, administered by the Deutsche Bank Trust Company, N.A., to serve elderly members of the Ridgefield, CT community in their homes with healthcare services and nutritious meals. The Trust supports organizations that aid economically disadvantaged, elderly individuals, enabling them to remain in their homes comfortably and independently.

The mission of RVNAhealth is to deliver unmatched, compassionate healthcare when and where it is needed. Founded in 1914, RVNAhealth’s full continuum of services addresses lifelong health and wellness needs through home nursing and rehabilitative therapies, hospice and palliative care, immunization clinics, disease management, hourly and live-in aides to help with daily living needs and companionship, and educational programs focused on health, wellness, and nutrition. Last year, RVNAhealth cared for more than 5,300 patients in their homes.

MOW has been preparing and delivering delicious, nutritious meals to Ridgefield residents since 1974 with the mission to provide nourishment to those who can't prepare meals on their own. Because MOW receives no federal or state funding, there are no waiting lists, quotas, or age or income requirements for its meal service. All meals are freshly prepared in a professional grade kitchen and can be customized to meet dietary restrictions. In 2022, MOW prepared and delivered a record 52,000 meals to residents in Ridgefield.

RVNAhealth and MOW are grateful to the John H. and Ethel G. Noble Charitable Trust, administered by the Deutsche Bank Trust Company, N.A., for making an incredible difference in the lives of the elderly in the Ridgefield community.
