Season five of the Ridgefield Women’s Flag Football (WFF) league, the first of its kind in the state, is underway with new friendships in bloom and high fives at the ready!
A new WFF player remarked this week, “I needed tonight more than you know! I needed to remember there’s an athlete inside me... I got the motivation I needed to get back in shape! Thanks for starting this!”
A record number of fifty women strong, the league began in 2019 under the leadership of Commissioner, Lynne Briody with a mission of giving local ladies the opportunity to try a new sport while building friendships and having fun.
“It’s a great way to enjoy a great game, meet new people and get some exercise as spring arrives each year. No experience is necessary - we learn together,” says founder Lynne Briody.
Special thanks to the sponsors who help make the season happen.
