St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church is holding its annual Nutmeg & Neighbors celebration this Saturday, September 16 from 5:00 to 8pm.
The event, open to the entire community of Ridgefield and beyond, began in 2019 as a reimagination of the church’s former Nutmeg Festival, which originated in 1908. Nutmeg & Neighbors 2023 will feature a live DJ and music for dancing, a cash bar (serving alcohol as well as non-alcoholic drinks), a children’s corner with a bounce house and movies, food from Ridgefield’s Parma Market and many raffle prizes.
“We are very excited about this year’s event and truly have something for everyone,” says the Rev. Whitney Altopp, rector of St. Stephen’s. “Each year we try something new, and this year it’s a brownie bakeoff, which is sure to be a treat! What a fun tradition: to spend an evening enjoying each other’s company while raising funds to support vital ministries.”
As a fundraiser to sustain these ministries, Nutmeg & Neighbors has an admission price of $50 ($10 for children under 12 and family maximum of $100). Tickets can be purchased in advance here or at the door the day of the event. Included with admission are 10 raffle prize tickets (more can be purchased at the event).
