The Ridgefield Lions (RAHA) Squirt AA team won the New England Regional Championship this past weekend!
They went 5 and 0 in their regional tournament, besting teams from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and then beating the CT Jr. Whalers decisively 6-2 in a rematch of the CT State Final. They outscored their opponents 28 - 8 and brought home their third banner this season to hang at the Winter Garden.
The team is comprised of three Veterans Park Elementary students, three Branchville students, two Scotland students, one Farmingville student, and one Barlow Mountain Elementary student. They represented Ridgefield at the highest level on the ice and most importantly showed true sportsmanship and teamwork.
