Ridgefield LMV and Library Host BOE Candidate's Forum on October 4

On October 4th at 7:00 pm the League of Women Voters of Ridgefield, in partnership with the Ridgefield Library, will be hosting a Board of Education Candidates Forum featuring candidates competing for open positions on the Board. Those candidates participating will answer questions and share their views on topics important to Ridgefield voters. Registration on the Library Website’s Events Calendar is required. https://ridgefieldlibrary.org/

Members of the public who attend the Forum may submit questions on League-provided index cards between 6:15 and 6:50 pm for possible use during the event. Questions submitted must be brief, directed to all candidates and cannot be about personal matters.

A public forum such as this provides the electorate with the unique opportunity to judge the candidates' character, communication skills, ability to think on their feet and knowledge of key issues.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan,  grassroots organization that encourages active participation in government and voting.  All Forum participants are expected to conduct themselves with dignity and treat all those present with respect, empathy and civility.

The October 4th  forum, co-sponsored with the Ridgefield Library, is free and open to the public.  All are welcome.
