Ridgefield Police Officer Louis Geller Promoted to Rank of Sergeant

The Ridgefield Police Department is pleased to announce that Officer Louis Geller was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Geller was sworn-in today at Town Hall, alongside his wife and three children.
 
Prior to joining the Ridgefield Police Department, Sgt. Geller served in the U.S. Marine Reserves from 2011 to 2017. He began his career with the Ridgefield Police Department in 2015. Thus far in his career, he worked as a Patrol Officer on all three shifts, from 2015 to 2023. Sgt. Geller is a department instructor in Baton, Handcuffing, OC and TASER. He is also one of the department's Field Training Officers. Sgt. Geller has been the recipient of the department's Exceptional Service Award, Officer of the Year Award and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Award in 2019.
He is extremely active in the Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association and volunteers countless hours of his own time every year, for the betterment of the community.
 
Sgt. Geller will be assigned to the Evening Shift Patrol Division.
