Ridgefield Police Report Bomb Threat at Congregation Shir Shalom, Search Results in No Devices Found

Ridgefield Police report that today, Friday, October 13 at approximately 10:30 am, the Department received a call of a bomb threat at Congregation Shir Shalom, located at 46 Peaceable Street.

Ridgefield Police say they evacuated the building and requested the Stamford Police to respond with a bomb detection canine.

According to Captain Jeff Raines, "A short time later, the premise was searched by the Ridgefield Police along with a Stamford Police K-9 Officer and his canine, which resulted in no devices being found." Raines continues, "It is our understanding that multiple other places of worship throughout the State of Connecticut received similar threats today."

Ridgefield Police thank the staff at Temple Shalom for their assistance and Stamford Police for their quick response.
