Free Online Safety Classes June 22nd and 29th at the Ridgefield Library

If you're concerned about safety while being online, join Mike Ingber for Online Safety classes at the Ridgefield Library the next two Wednesdays at 11:00am (June 22nd and June 29th).

Part One of this free two-part series will focus on the types of threats and scams that exist, what scammers are after, and some general advice for staying safe. We will discuss malware, phishing, social engineering, tech support scams, and more. Part Two will focus on suggestions for staying safe. Topics will include how to keep your computer protected, how to stay safe while browsing the internet, how to recognize dangerous emails, recognizing some signs that you may have been infected, advice for shopping safely, privacy setting, and more.
