Ridgefield Library Holds Ocean Clean-Up Workshop for 4-6th Graders on Thursday June 30th

Students entering Grades 4-6 in the Fall 2022, join Kristin Quell-Garguilo to learn about pollution in the ocean through fascinating experimentation this Thursday, June 30th at 6:00pm at the Ridgefield Library.  Come learn about the challenges our ocean faces and how we can make a difference!

Students will simulate the problems associated with water salable chemical, hydrophobic chemical, and physical pollution. They will have the opportunity to test for changes in salinity and pH of the water quality. Participants will be given a chance to predict the effects of these pollutants on the ocean and its inhabitants and then try different clean up methods to see what works best.

Parents must remain in the building for the duration of the program. Children under the age of 12 cannot be dropped off.

More info/please register.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
