What makes you crack a smile in Ridgefield? Meet Daniel C. Levine

Summer Smiles in Ridgefield

Enjoying summer days close to home, at events and venues unique to your hometown, are some of the most memorable experiences in life. (plus, you can get cozy in your own bed at the end of a fun-filled day).

Our series “What makes you crack a smile” puts a spotlight on the local people, places and events that make our community an enjoyable place to live.

Get your flip-flops and summer ON and meet Daniel C. Levine, Ridgefield resident and ACT of Connecticut Artistic Director.

Tell us about your favorite summertime destination in Ridgefield

Of course, ACT of CT is my personal favorite Ridgefield destination :) While our mainstage productions finish up in June (and our season comes to a close), summer at ACT is all about our Conservatory and Camp programs! It is AWESOME to watch ACT's campers blossom during the summer and to witness their passion for theater come alive! Summers at ACT are all about the kids, and we LOVE IT!

What community event do you look forward to attending? How does it make you feel?

ACT of CT'S Teen Conservatory productions and also ACT's Camp show. Always so much fun to see the shows that our campers will be working on all summer!

What summer activity in Ridgefield makes you crack a smile?

Seeing friends and neighbors spending time on Main Street, or hiking one of Ridgefield's awesome trails and open spaces, or seeing a show at The Playhouse, or watching a CHIRP concert in the park! Always so much fun!

Do you have a cherished memory of summer in Ridgefield?

I love everything having to do with summer in Ridgefield. Hiking one of the trails or open spaces is always a highlight.
