Hello Neighbors,
We are writing to endorse Jon Paradiso for election to Ridgefield's Board of Education. Jon is a dedicated, honest, and compassionate professional and parent who will bring a welcoming and hard-working spirit to the BOE. Our acquaintance with Jon began three years ago when our children were in kindergarten together at Barlow Mountain. It was evident upon meeting Jon and his wife Ellen at the playground Meet and Greet in the Fall of 2021 that they would become part of our Village in raising our children together in the Barlow and RPS community.
Our respect and admiration for Jon grew significantly this past spring when we joined forces in a parent-led movement to oppose a reduction in class sections for our rising 2nd graders at Barlow Mountain. Jon emerged as a principal organizer of our group, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the strength, consistency, and persuasiveness of our message. Ultimately, our efforts succeeded in securing a third section for our 2nd graders, largely due to Jon's exceptional leadership and impactful advocacy.
Jon's professional background in technology and business will bring important diversity of thought to the BOE. His passion and optimism will be a breath of fresh air. We have unwavering confidence in Jon's wisdom and look forward to his responsible decision-making for the benefit of all.
