I endorse Unaffiliated candidate Dawn-Marie Callahan for Ridgefield Board of Education (BOE) and urge all voters of to check the box for Dawn on the third row of the ballot (Dawn’s name will appear in same row as Maureen Kozlark, Unaffiliated incumbent candidate for Board of Selectmen, for whom I will also be proudly voting).
Ridgefield is very fortunate that so dedicated and engaged a person as Dawn-Marie has stepped up to run for BOE. Dawn-Marie is 100% dedicated to Ridgefield’s youth. She will do everything possible to meet all our children’s educational needs while enhancing fiscal sustainability for Ridgefield’s taxpayers in the near, middle, and long terms.
Dawn-Marie will strive to keep our schools on a path of continuous improvement to ensure Ridgefield’s children receive the best, most effective educational experiences possible, and that the entire school environment promotes wellness and wellbeing for all students.
Finally, Dawn-Marie will work to keep reactionary extremists from embroiling Ridgefield Public Schools (RPS) in "culture wars” that have obstructed the accurate teaching of history and science, cheated students of the broadened perspectives education is supposed to provide, threatened human rights, and bitterly divided communities across our country in recent years.
For all these reasons, I enthusiastically endorse Dawn-Marie and urge you to cast your vote for Dawn-Marie for BOE.
