The Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace, Do Ngak Kunphen Ling (DNKL), is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Paint Out, Wet Paint Exhibition and Silent Art Auction on Sunday, September 8, 2013 (rain date, September 15) starting in the early morning when the invited artists will be outdoors painting.

Beginning at 2:00 pm the artists' reception and silent auction will begin. Friends, guests and neighbors are invited to bring their families and enjoy music, art and refreshments.

Come stroll the grounds anytime from early morning to 5pm during this delightful event to watch the artists paint, enjoy the grounds, and listen to lovely music.

Serenade, a duo consisting of Susan Altabet (flute, voice) and Stephen Dydo (guitar, violin, banjo), will play at the Paint Out. They have been playing classical and contemporary music as well as American and European folk music in the Tri-State region for two decades.

You are also welcome to join a teaching on meditation at 1:30 pm.

The event is free and concludes with the silent auction results at 4:00 pm.

The beautiful and unique setting of the Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace was the estate of the late Maurice Pate, the first executive director of UNICEF. This pristineestate includes ponds, a small stone bridge, and rolling hills. Lovely simple additions, such as the prayer wheel, add to the peaceful air pervading this estate.

The Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace is located at 30 Putnam Park Rd, Redding, Ct 06896. (203) 664-1574 info@dnkldharma.org
