New Junior Cycling Team Start-up Meeting

A new junior cycling team is starting in Ridgefield!  The team is open to the youth of other towns as well.

Want to learn more? All interested families and folks are welcome to the Jr. Team Kickoff Party on Tuesday, Feb. 10th hosted by the Ridgefield Bicycle Company. Learn about the club's goals, race your parents, meet fellow riders and families and learn how you can help support these young riders during their exciting first season on the new Ridgefield/CCAP Team!

Join the Team!  All Are Welcome!

  • Practice Shedule: Junior-only practices are held on Wednesdays and alternating Saturdays.
  • This session is road bike specific.  Ages 10-18. Race participation in not required.
  • The fee for the 3 month spring session is $300.
  • All registered riders receive a custom RBCo/CCAP Verge Team Jersey.
  • Guy Piorier, an experienced racer, will be the team's coach and will lead weekly practices.

The Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP) is a 501c3 charitable organization committed to engaging the youth of Connecticut in a healthy and active lifestyle through the sport of cycling.  The CCAP provides the support staff, resources, community connections, riding venues, curriculum and scaffolding to make these aspirations a reality to middle school and high school aged youth statewide in both urban and rural settings.  After less than two years in existence, the CCAP has established over 21 school and parks and recreation programs across the state, with over 400 participants.
