True crime, true love, true story: Rob the Mob at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, May 23

The 2014 crime drama Rob the Mob stars Michael Pitt, Nina Arianda, Andy Garcia and Ray Romano. It’s based on the true story of Thomas and Rosemarie Uva, two lovers whose 1991 audacious heists of NYC Mafia social clubs resulted in a discovery that could forever change the face of organized crime in America. Academy Award® nominee writer-director Raymond De Felitta (City Island, Two Family House, The Thing About My Folks), will be on hand at the Playhouse for a Q&A hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Ira Joe Fisher following the film screening on Saturday, May 23, at 7:30 p.m. This is a Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society Directors’ Cut Film Series event. The film is based on the true story of Thomas and Rosemarie Uva, two lovers whose 1991 audacious heists of NYC Mafia social clubs resulted in a discovery that could forever change the face of organized crime in America. The film stars Michael Pitt, Nina Arianda, Andy Garcia and Ray Romano. This event is supported by The Ridgefield Press and Whistle Stop Bakery.
