A behind-the-scenes glimpse with Broadway veterans Denise (Pence) and Steve Bookvor at Founders Hall

For a backstage view of Broadway, come hear actors Denise (Pence) and Steve Boockvor on Friday, February 5 at 1pm at Founders Hall.

These Broadway veterans have worked with some of the best-known directors/creators in the business, including Michael Bennett, Bob Fosse, Hal Prince, Stephen Sondheim and Stephen Schwartz in shows such as Annie, Cabaret, Follies and Pippin.  They were the inspiration for the characters ‘Al’ and ‘Christine’ in A Chorus Line, and Steve was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in Working .  They were recently included in director Rick McKay's Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age, the second installment of a trilogy that tells the story of the legendary Broadway season of 1959, through the tumultuous 60s, the revolutionary 70s, up to the opening night of 42nd Street in 1980.

The careers of this formidable team have bloomed beyond Broadway. Denise was nominated for an Emmy for her role in daytime television’s The Guiding Light and continues to work as an actress in theater and commercials. Steve has produced, directed and choreographed theatrical and television projects internationally for the past forty years and is currently collaborating on two one-act plays.

The public is invited to attend.  Founders Hall, a donor-supported education and recreation center for individuals age 60 and over, is located at 193 Danbury Road, Ridgefield.  For more information, call (203) 431-7000.
