The Original Wailers will bring a night of reggae to The Ridgefield Playhouse! Formed and led by guitar player Al Anderson, who is known for his extensive work with Bob Marley, the band aims to keep Bob Marley’s legacy alive. Al Anderson has united with a group of handpicked musicians to honor the history and integrity of Marley's music with The Original Wailers. The band will bring their iconic island sound to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, October 9 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series Powered by Xfinity and Ingersoll Auto World Music Series. Before the show, ticket holders can enjoy a free wine tasting courtesy of The Wine Group/Benziger Family Winery. Anderson first joined Bob Marley & The Wailers in 1973, going on to play with Bob until his untimely death in 1981. Al was an integral part of the Bob Marley & The Wailers sound, forever imprinting his guitar solos and production skills on the catalog that has sold more than 75 million records and touched so many around the world.
