April Rodriguez, RN, a travel medicine specialist with the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, will present “How to Stay Healthy while Traveling” at Founders Hall on Friday, February 23 at 1 pm.
Rodriguez will explain steps to take before departure, including safety considerations when selecting accommodations, immunizations and prescriptions that can greatly reduce the chances of contracting serious illnesses while abroad, and insurance coverage for health and travel. She will also share tips for traveling with medication, safe food and water practices, and care during and after flying.
