Broadway in Ridgefield: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The Ridgefield Playhouse

Broadway Stars Matt Bogart, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka and Christine Dwyer To Star In the Daniel C. Levine Directed Production

Broadway comes to Ridgefield! The cast for the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been announced by director Daniel C. Levine and it’s chock-full of Broadway stars - Matt Bogart(Jersey Boys) is Pharaoh, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) is Joseph and Christine Dwyer (Wicked) is the Narrator.

The show runs Saturday, February 24th at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, February 25th at 2pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse and is part of Ridgefield Magazine’s Broadway & Cabaret Series and Ridgefield Academy Family Series. Produced by ACT of CT, the show is partially underwritten by Books on the Common and Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, with support from Colonial Automobile Group of Danbury.

In addition to an all-star Broadway cast and Broadway’s hottest rock band, you will also see a few familiar faces in this production including local stars Sam GravitteIra Joe Fisher and Matt Grasso, as well as a large children’s ensemble. The result is a unique and captivating concert production of this classic Andrew Lloyd Webber smash-hit Broadway musical!

“This is going to be a great production!” director Daniel C. Levine says, "The twenty-person all-star Broadway company have appeared in over thirty Broadway shows collectively. Put them together with our local talent and our thirty-two local kids ensemble and watch out!”

The show is a retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph and his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors from the book of Genesis. This wonderful family musical is filled with many unforgettable songs including “Those Canaan Days,” “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”
