The Seamus Egan Project is the new touring project of the legendary Irish-American musician, Seamus Egan - founder of the ground-breaking and beloved band, SOLAS. Joining Seamus (banjo / guitar / whistle / flute / percussion) for dazzling, plaintive original tunes and songs are Moira Smiley (voice / piano / banjo / accordion), Kyle Sanna (guitar / voice) and Owen Marshall (bouzouki / harmonium). Virtuosic, intricate dance tunes sweep into slower, achingly beautiful airs. Traditional Irish and Americans songs segue into new arrangements of songs by Jesse Colin Young (of the Youngbloods), Woody Guthrie and even Laura Nyro!

The variety of strings in this virtuosic group - hard-driving tenor banjo, exquisite finger-picking and rhythm guitars, twinkling bouzouki and mellow clawhammer banjo back powerful singing and the pure musical delight of Seamus’s whistle playing.
