Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra to hold second annual Concert Fundraiser at the Ridgefield Playhouse!

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is planning an encore to last year's successful fundraising concert! This year Break of Reality, a world-renowned indie-classical chamber ensemble, takes the stage at the Ridgefield Playhouse on April 21, 2018.

Break of Reality has sold out concerts in North and South America as well as Europe and Asia. The band's signature sound appeals to a fan base spanning classical, rock and world music lovers. Classically trained at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, members of Break of Reality made the jump from busking in Central Park to attracting millions of listeners on platforms like Spotify and Pandora Radio. The band's four full-length albums features their versatility playing classic chamber repertoire, original songs, acoustic and electric covers. Their rendition of the "Game of Thrones" theme song alone has over 19 million views on YouTube!

"We are so excited to hold our fundraising concert again at the Playhouse", says RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. "Ridgefield is home to its own professional orchestra and the RSO brings world-class musical talent right here to our community. The Break of Reality show will be an incredible live music experience and we hope to see everyone there!"

In addition to the concert performance, the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra will hold a silent auction featuring a European river cruise, Cape Cod resort vacation, weekend hotel stay, Adam Broderick gift certificate, and a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the New York Botanical Garden. The silent auction will also offer two home dinner parties (each for six people)--one catered by Bailey's Backyard, the other by Some Things Fishy Catering. The auction will start online in early March with Buy It Now options to purchase!

Proceeds from the fundraiser support the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the residents of Ridgefield and surrounding communities by presenting live orchestral concerts. The RSO also strives to increase the appreciation for music through innovative education and outreach programs for people of all ages and abilities. For more information and to purchase tickets visit ridgefieldsymphony.org or call the box office at (203) 438-3889.
