The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and the Lounsbury House are partnering to present a special FREE Community Concert this Sunday afternoon featuring the Metropolitan String Orchestra!
Incredibly talented, remarkably inspiring! the Metropolitan String Orchestra (MSO) is an ensemble-training program for auditioned, classically trained musicians. MSO brings together dedicated, high achieving students from Connecticut, Manhattan, Long Island and New Jersey for performances at prestigious venues including the United Nations and historic St. Peter’s Church in Manhattan. MSO members also perform at schools, non-profit events, and places of worship experiencing how music truly builds community. Graduates of the program continue to cultivate this disposition of service and pursue academic and music study at institutions including Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Vanderbilt, Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard. Enjoy a fantastic live performance and experience the future of music!
