A celebration honoring the life and legacy of philanthropist Beth Becker to be held at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, June 24

On Sunday, June 24th there will be a celebration honoring the life and legacy of philanthropist Beth Becker from 4-6pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse. The event, which is open to the community, will feature hosts, toasts and roasts from family, friends and people who loved Beth from the many organizations she supported and loved. “Beth had a generous, kind, and fun spirit,” says emcee of the evening and friend of Beth’s, Christine O’Leary, “We want this afternoon to reflect that.”

The event will include a tribute roast of Beth Becker and a live auction of items that were “quintessential” Beth and Bruce Becker, specifically chosen by her sister Deb.  All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Beth and Bruce Becker Scholarship Fund, which has helped many children and adults take classes at The Playhouse so that they can foster the love for the arts as both Beth and Bruce had always done.  “Beth and Bruce loved the arts and Bruce was a long time Board Member of The Playhouse,” says Executive Director, Allison Stockel. “I loved them both dearly and I can think of no better way to honor Beth’s life than with a giant party at The Playhouse.”  In addition to the roasts and auction, there will also be food for attendees from Gallo (Beth’s favorite restaurant), entertainment and a cash bar with a special drink to honor Beth.  Come dressed to the nines if you wish -- “Becker Style.”
