Small Screen, Big Ideas: An Animated Afternoon at The Aldrich on Sunday, June 24 from 1 pm to 4 pm
Free!
Don’t miss the launch of the Museum’s new Main Street Video program, a 12-week series featuring short video works by four artists in the Museum’s historic Old Hundred building. Watch the first video in this four-part series, Marina Zurkow’s playful and thought-provoking The Thirsty Bird, then participate in a workshop in The Studio. Explore animation—both low and high tech! Create your own hand-drawn flipbook in a creative session led by Museum educators, and make a stop-motion video inspired by the exhibitions on view with the guidance of Alex Gonzalez, an expert from Jacob Burns Film Center. Grab some deliciousness-for-purchase from Twins BBQ food truck and enjoy the melodic sounds of local favorites, Blue Yodels.
The Aldrich is located at 258 Main Street. Learn more here.
