Meals on Wheels Seminar at Founders Hall on Friday

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield board members Michele Goodman and Debra Franceschini, along with RVNA dietician and nutrition educator Meg Whitbeck, will lead an informational session at Founders Hall on Friday, June 22 at 1 pm.

Meals on Wheels provides nutritional lunches and dinners every day of the year to residents in need of assistance. There are no age or income restrictions, and financial assistance is available. “Meals on Wheels isn’t just for low-income, elderly clients,” says Dean Miller, chairman of its board of directors, “it’s available to anyone in Ridgefield with short-term needs, for example, someone recovering from an illness or injury.” To demonstrate the quality of the meals, they will serve samples of entrees and desserts. They will also discuss how to achieve wellness and longevity goals through healthy eating.

Founders Hall, a donor-supported education and recreation center for people age 60 and older, is located at 193 Danbury Road. Thanks to donor support, this seminar is free and open to the public. For more information, go to founders-hall.org.
