Ridgefield Historical Society Announces August 26th Events
The Ridgefield Historical Society is out and about in the community and is pleased to announce its participation in two fun events on Sunday, August 26. Visit us at:
Sundays at the Schoolhouse: The Peter Parley Schoolhouse (intersection of West Lane and CT Rte 35) will be open to the public from 1 to 4 pm, rain or shine.
Cannon Grange: Agricultural Fair & Exposition: Cannon Grange Hall, 25 Cannon Road, Wilton from 10 am to 4 pm, rain or shine.
The Sundays at the Schoolhouse program is free to the public and engages visitors of all ages through interactive tours of the Schoolhouse and hands-on learning experiences with docents and historical craft makers from the Colonial era. On August 26, the program will feature an antique fire engine owned by Gavin Donnelly, antique toys, and quill writing and other activities with Cindi Emmert. An ice cream truck will be on the premises for frozen treats. Sundays at the Schoolhouse is generously sponsored by Fairfield County Bank.
