Aldrich Undercover Secret Art Sale Returns on September 29

Calling all new collectors, art world veterans, and sleuths of all stripes, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is pleased to announce that Aldrich Undercover is returning after a six-year hiatus. Aldrich Undercover is a “secret” art sale and exhibition for one night only at the Museum. Aldrich Undercover will take place in The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s Leir Gallery on Saturday, September 29 from 7 to 9 pm.

Over a hundred artists who have previously exhibited at the Museum have been invited to create unique works of art on identical 9 x 12 inch sheets of paper. Each original work will be signed on the back, with no identifying marks on the front, so it can be displayed anonymously. Only after a work has been purchased will the artist’s identity be revealed. All works are priced at $350.

Aldrich Undercover will feature a festive cocktail party in addition to the benefit art sale. The Shake and Stir Bar Truck will be on site mixing up signature drinks featuring Litchfield Distillery spirits. All proceeds benefit The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s education and exhibition programming.

Priority entry tickets are $500, which allows priority access to the art sale and the first opportunity to view and purchase the art. General admission tickets are $150 if purchased in advance, and will be $175 at the door.

Tickets are available at shop.aldrichart.org or by calling 203.438.4519.
