Ridgefield Library Offers Program to Help First Responders & Veterans

Helping Our Heroes: Improving the Well-being of Our First Responders & Veterans with Dr. Stacy Raymond, Chief Gary MacNamara & Captain Jacques Roy at Ridgefield Library on Tuesday, September 25 at 7 PM.
 
This program is aimed at police, firefighters, EMS personnel, 9-1-1 dispatchers, active military and veterans, and the family, friends and therapists who care about them.

Dr. Stacy Raymond, clinical psychologist, will identify critical signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress, and treatments available for addressing potential problems such as job-related stressors, reluctance to seek help, marital issues, isolation, and addiction. She specializes in treating adults with trauma and PTSD.
 
Chief Gary MacNamara, Fairfield, CT Police Chief and Chair of the Officer Wellness Committee for the CT Police Chiefs Association, will share his concerns about well-being as it pertains to law enforcement.
 
Captain Jacques Roy, Stamford, CT Firefighter, will discuss how he copes with the traumatic experiences he has endured through years as a firefighter.
 
This program is part of the Noreen L. Papa - Mothers Live Your Lifeseries of health and wellness programs.
