26th Annual Ghosts of Ridgefield

Ghosts of Ridgefield

The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is offering a two public Ghosts of Ridgefield programs: One on Friday, October 19th, at 6:00 PM and another on Saturday, October 20th. Tours start at 6:00 PM, with subsequent tours going out in assigned groups of up to 15 people every 15 minutes. The event on October 19 will be at the Ridgefield Recreation Center on Danbury Road; the event on October 20 will be at Hemlock Hills Open Space, Bogus Road entrance.

Ghosts of Ridgefield has become a Halloween tradition for many local families and friends.  Don’t miss our 26th annual Ghosts hike! You will be guided along the trails, through Hemlock Hills where you will encounter legendary, ghostly figures. These characters from Ridgefield’s past will entertain you with tales or personal stories. Some of our past “guests” included Colonel Phillip Burr Bradley, Chief Catoonah, Geraldine Farrar and The Leatherman.  But who will show up this year is anyone’s guess.  During your haunted hike, you will be fortified with some cookies and apple cider around a campfire.

Reservations are strongly required. Those with very young children should ask for the earliest time slot.

The program is $10 for Discovery Center members. For nonmembers, the charge is $15.

Registration is required and can be done at http://www.ridgefielddiscovery.org/)
