Downtown Ridgefield Sparkles On Friday

17,000 plus lights, songs, and Santa will kick off the holiday season in Ridgefield on Friday evening, November 23 at 6:00 pm, once again promoting the sparkle and glitter of our historic Main Street and quintessential New England town.

One of the joys of the season in Ridgefield is our Annual Tree Lighting when hundreds of locals descend upon the downtown area for festive holiday song, a glimpse of Santa who arrives via fire truck, and a chance to see the trees sparkle.

It's best to arrive no later than 6:00 pm so you can enjoy festivities and prior to the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will once again settle into the “North Pole” tent to greet the children.

Did you know? Getting ready for the holidays in Ridgefield really does take a village! Over the course of two weekends, Boy Scout Troop 431,  tested each light in each string. Another holiday elf about town is Eric Hochadel of Noble Tree who had the task of hanging the many lights on all of the trees in the downtown area.

On the heels of your Thanksgiving feast, head to downtown Ridgefield and welcome the holiday season with fellow community members!
