Free Seminar at Ridgefield Library features Industry Experts on Saturday, March 2: What You Should Know About Selling Your Home and Estate Planning
On Saturday, March 2 from 10:00am to 12:00pm, a free educational seminar is being offered at the Ridgefield Library featuring local experts in the fields of real estate and estate planning. The seminar is designed to help Baby Boomers, retirees and soon-to-be-retired individuals plan ahead for what is generally a big life change. Registration is required and space is limited. Register at RIDGEFIELDLIBRARY.ORG or call Lesley Lampton at 203-438-2282.
“We are seeing more and more baby boomers and empty nesters start to move and downsize as their kids leave or they think about retiring,” says Karla Murtaugh of Neumann Real Estate, Christie’s International Real Estate. “This particular age group faces choices that can have a big effect on the quality of the rest of their lives. It’s important to get all the information they can in order to make smart decisions,” she adds.
Joe Chelednik of Fairfield County Bank will be on hand to discuss managing the equity built in your home and financing options for retired – or soon to be retired – borrowers, while attorneys William Harrison and Tamsin Shoults of Reese, Hirsch, Shoults & Harrison will discuss important issues surrounding real estate transactions and estate planning.
